Dedicated Server
Here I tell you how to set up a dedicated server for Day of Defeat beta 3.1 step by step.

1. Install Steam and start it.

2. In Steam click “Tools”.

3. Here you should see “Dedicated Server”. This is the server for Half life 1 based games. Click Install!

4. Wait till the download is ready. When it’s ready, start the server and close it. Now extract the file you can download below in this folder:
..\Steam\steamapps\mail@ad.com\dedicated server\

Now your folders should look like:
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\mail@ad.com\dedicated server\

5. Create a Textfile named “steam_appid.txt”. The content has to be “70? (without “). Put this file in:
..\Steam\steamapps\mail@ad.com\dedicated server\

Your ready! Open Steam, click “Tools” and start the dedicated server.
